It’s no secret that we’re inspired by Lollapalooza (and other awesome music festivals), so we consider what’s being poured into your ears at Pinot Palooza as much as what’s being poured into your mouths.
Say hello to DJ Greg Sara. If you were at Pinot Palooza Melbourne last year (or you frequent the clubs he holds residency at), you’ll already know that he can build a dance floor like no one else. It’s why we’ve brought him back for 2017.
If you aren’t familiar with him, here’s what you need to know.
Greg Sara has been involved in the music and event industries for the past 20 years.
He has been responsible for the music direction of some of the world’s best nightclubs, including 360 in Dubai, China Doll in Beijing, 161 and Mink Bar in Melbourne, Q Bar (Adl/Melb/Syd) and the Arkaba in Adelaide. He has also been responsible for touring acts as diverse as Conan Liquid to LNTG, Mihai Popavicui to Matthew Dekay.
His DJing blends light and dark seamlessly, taking his floors from funky breaks and vocal house to deep tech and straight up techno.
Greg has worked for Done and Dusted in the UK, where he Stage Managed the first Fatboy Slim on Brighton Beach event, and was the Assistant Event Director on the first MTV Party in Ibiza.
He is currently Resident DJ at 161, Revolver and Less Than Zero here in Melbourne, with his spare time spent working on his first foray into production with his group Tameless, whose first single Spanish Soul was just released on Ugenius Records.
Get ready to party, Melbourne, Pinot Palooza style.
