Nothing refreshes the palate like a cold, crisp beer. It’s why we always have beer at our events – we consider it an essential part of wine tasting.
One of our favourites is New Zealand’s own Brew Moon Brewing Co., a family-run business based in Amberley. We thought you might like to get to know them so here you go.
The Brew Moon Brewing Co. has been around since 2002 (way before brewing good beer was cool or profitable). Our family lived in California in the late 1990s and the craft movement was starting to pick up then so we thought it was just a matter of time before it caught on in New Zealand. It turned out to be a slow burner! We are based in the rural little town of Amberley so our vibe is especially laid back. It just wouldn’t fly with our locals if we tried to be pretentious little beer snobs.READ MORE HERE!
LIVE AUSTRALIA STAND IS BACK!
Australia is a BIG country so, as you can imagine, the styles of pinot noir that you find here are as varied and diverse as the people themselves. There’s light and ethereal examples from the Yarra Valley, fuller flavoured from Mornington, super fresh styles from Tasmania, the wildness of the Adelaide Hills and everything else in between.
Australian pinot noir has never been better and, with around 15 different regions producing excellent quality examples, there is much to explore.
Which is why we’re again bringing you the LIVE AUSTRALIA stand to Auckland. Here you’ll get to try a range of wines that we recon are pretty bloody cool and worth seeking out. In fact, many aren’t even available in NZ!
PINOT PALOOZA UNPLUGGED!
Wine should e a conversation, not a lecture so this year we’re setting up the “UnPlugged” stage where you’ll here from those in the know the inside word on what makes Pinot, Pinot. Hosted by Pinot Palooza Founder, Dan Sims, and local legend Mermaid Mary, these quick, casual 30 minute sessions will be a little oasis of calm in a sea of madness. Heck, you might learn something as well!

It’s not a Pinot Palooza without music, is it. It’s why we’re bringing back our good mate DJ T.Rice to keep us in the Pinot mood all day. Get to know him better below and check out his set from last year as a pre party pick me up!
