Phil Handford is the face of Grasshopper Rock, he’s the head honcho (AKA Managing Director) and leading the company since it was started in 2001 through to making Grasshopper Rock an international pinot noir producing region. Phil previously had a career as a rural banker (we won’t hold that against him), before he ‘came to’ and realised wine was much more fun.
What year was your first pinot noir vintage and what song best represents it?
My first year was 2006. And best summed up by Bones – The Killers
What are you listening to when you’re drinking pinot?
