What style do you think characterises the pinot of your region?
I feel the pinots of the Mornington Peninsula display a purity and depth of fruit which is definitely influenced by our unique maritime environment. The Bays of Port Philip and Western Port help cool our vineyards during heat spikes thus helping preserve acidity, allowing for a longer ripening season which aids flavour complexity in the bunches.
