Yabby Lake on the Mornington Peninsula has it all. A killer cellar door and restaurant, incredible wines, and Chief Winemaker Tom Carson, who, in 2013, became the first Pinot producer to win the Jimmy Watson.

Yep, we can’t get enough of Yabby Lake – especially because they’ve been with us since the start. We’re really stoked that they made the Top 5 in the National People’s Choice competition this year – we love what they do, and we’re glad you do too!

How was Pinot Palooza 2017 for you?
The 2017 Tour was next level, we had a ball. We’ve been part of Palooza since its inception and it’s a real thrill to see it grow and become such an incredible movement. We love being a part of it and it just gets bigger and better every year.

How does it feel to have made the National Top 10 People’s Choice?
We are thrilled to be part of the Top 10. We wanted to do something quite different this year, so we launched a new series of Single Clone wines at Palooza. The project gives us another view point of our vineyard and pinot in general, so it was so good to get the feedback that people were interested in what we were doing.

Each vintage is a unique time capsule, capturing the time and place.

What’s the best thing about Pinot Palooza?
Hanging out with bunch of Pinot nuts for a day!

If your Pinot were a song/artist, who would they be?
Yabby Lake Pinot Noir : Nick Cave.
Nobody every starts their music with Nick Cave, but they often end up there. Much like the grape variety itself.
